Commerce Chenango Announces Wine, Beer and Food Festival: Open Call for Suppliers

NORWICH, NY (WBNG) — There may still be snow on the ground at the Chenango County Fairgrounds, however, Commerce Chenango’s President and CEO is thinking summer all the way.

The organization has just announced a brand new celebration for the region called the “Chenango County Wine Beer and Food Festival”. The one-day event aimed to attract local and nationally renowned brewers, winemakers as well as craft vendors.

“It’s an event to really make it a regional event, so wineries, breweries, cider houses, distilleries and (and) food trucks. We will also have a crafting area,” Green said.

The event expects a large presence of vendors from several locations, however, communications and tourism manager Audrey Robinson says they are always on the lookout for more attendees. She mentions the different ticket options. “There will be different ticket prices. there is a general ticket price. there is a VIP ticket price that lets you access the VIP area for extra money, and you get trial tickets with all your tickets except the designated driver’s ticket”.

Green says she’s excited to shine a light on the many hard-working people in New York’s beverage manufacturing industry. “It’s such a big industry, and we have, even in our immediate area, there’s nothing like (this event) in our immediate area.”

She hopes this event will get people to visit the area, but more importantly, to come back and visit as well. “There is plenty to see and do in Chenango County and Norwich city centre. I hope they will take the opportunity to take a look at the area and the region. We’ll be sure to have some information about Chenango County and what a great place we are, and hope people stick around…”
