Commerce City sees largest buildup in Denver metro area – CBS Denver

DENVER (CBS4) – Although the winter storm in Colorado on this first day of weather warning did not have much moisture, very cold temperatures allowed impressive snow reports in many areas. A winter weather advisory is in effect for the Denver metro area until 8 p.m. Wednesday.

The list below has snow reports around 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, and Commerce City appears to be leading for the largest accumulation in the Denver metro area at 13.6 inches!

Many areas will see at least an additional inch of snow for the remainder of the day, so these are not “final” numbers. And because this storm produced multiple “bands” of snow instead of one widespread and consistent snow, reports can vary widely within the same city or town.

The most recent official snow total for Denver measured at Denver International Airport was 2.1 inches as of 5 a.m. Wednesday.
