LA Guerrillas Reportedly Acquired Arcitys in ‘Huge’ Atlanta FaZe Deal

Atlanta’s FaZe ‘dynasty’ team is apparently no more, as new reports indicate that the Los Angeles Guerrillas intend to strike a deal that would see Arcitys join Huke, Spart and Neptune.

Just days into the CDL 2022-2023 offseason and the roster of players is already unforgettable. From OpTic’s 24-hour switcheroo to Crimsix possibly considering retirement, there’s no shortage of game-changing news.

Keeping the ball rolling on August 21, Dexerto’s Jacob Hale reported that the next major redesign appears to be underway. This time it’s Atlanta team FaZe who are torn apart as veteran AR Arcitys are the current target to complete the next iteration of the LA Guerrillas.

As a restricted free agent, the LA organization is required to negotiate with FaZe. Accordingly, a so-called “huge“A buyout has been proposed to secure Arcitys for the next season of Modern Warfare 2.

Although not yet confirmed, early talk points to an LA lineup consisting of Arcitys, Huke, Sparta and Neptune. These last three are existing members of the organization while Arcitys would replace SlasheR, at least on paper.

If FaZe accepts the offer and continues without Arcitys, that leaves a major void for Simp, aBeZy, and 2022 MVP Cellium to fill. It’s unclear at this time who they might be interested in, but since Cammy and Attach are no longer under contract, it looks like they have several options to consider.

The move would be the first major roster shakeup for Atlanta FaZe since 2020. Following the withdrawal of Priestahh and MajorManiak after CDL’s inaugural season, Arcitys rounded out the team and helped lead the charge through a dominant year in 2021. Together, the team won three majors and a championship during the Cold War season, but failed to repeat that success in Vanguard.

Meanwhile, the LA Guerrillas have seen more than a dozen players come and go over the years, winning just one event for their issues after a historic run in the bottom bracket at Major 2 in the 2022 season.
