Manhasset Chamber of Commerce to host ‘Manhasset Al Fresco’ – Community News


Join us for al fresco dining, shopping and shows on Plandome Road

The Manhasset Chamber of Commerce will be hosting ‘Manhasset Al Fresco’, a series of city nights for al fresco dining, shopping and entertainment on Plandome Road.

The event will allow the closure of roads for pedestrians and outdoor dining on Plandome Road and should take place on Sundays from 3:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. starting June 27, alternating every other week between the path. South Plandome and North Plandome Road. The launch party will feature businesses on South Plandome Road, with the following event featuring businesses on North Plandome Road.

South Plandome Road will be closed to traffic from Park Avenue to Dennis Street on Sunday June 27, July 25, August 22 and September 26. North Plandome Road will be closed to traffic from Hillside Avenue to Colonial Parkway on Sunday July 11, August 8, Sept 12 and Oct 10.

To add to the festivities, there will be entertainment and appearances of local talent, in addition to outdoor dining and shopping.

The community of Manhasset is invited to stroll on Plandome Road in a safe and festive atmosphere. Participants are urged to follow current CDC guidelines during events and maintain an appropriate distance while enjoying a night on the town.

Manhasset Al Fresco is sponsored in part by the City of North Hempstead’s Lift Up Local initiative to support local businesses in the wake of the coronavirus.
