Safe Haven Recovery Engagement Center, a regional recovery center serves eight counties in southern Indiana; Orange, Crawford, Dubois, Perry, Pike, Martin, Daviess and Washington.

“We are a 501c3 non-profit organization, started in 2018 after I lost my brother to an overdose. We do for others what we didn’t do for him,” said Brittany Stout, president of Safe Haven. “We are funded by community donations and grants. Currently, we receive a grant through DMHA and IRN to recruit recovery coaches to serve our counties, as well as local grants to allow us to host community education sessions and forums. We are under a board of eight people, 3 of whom are in recovery themselves.
