WHEELING — The Wheeling Area Chamber of Commerce unveiled a new look with its logo on Monday afternoon, and the makeover won’t be the chamber’s last.
The logo change is the first step to a new brand image and a new website. Beyond Marketing is the group behind all the new changes.
The chamber’s new logo is an abstract design of the historic Wheeling Suspension Bridge, according to a press release from the chamber. It signifies the connection between the Wheeling area community and its business, as well as the bridge between the past and the future of the chamber.
The logo incorporates the colors of West Virginia blue and gold, also incorporated into the Wheeling city flag. It also adds other colors that signify the inclusion of people and community.
According to the chamber, the blue in the logo signifies security, order, stability and reliability. Yellow signifies optimism, encourages analytical thinking, and promotes happiness and positivity.
Orange represents enthusiasm, excitement, and creative energy, while teal represents thoughtfulness, calm, poise, open communication, clarity, and uniqueness.
The Wheeling Area Chamber’s logo unveiling precedes its rebranding and website, also designed by Beyond Marketing. The new website promises to bring efficiency to chamber members and individual users and the Wheeling Area Chamber hopes to launch the site as soon as possible.
The Wheeling Area Chamber was founded in 1966 and currently has over 600 active members. The Wheeling Area Chamber’s mission is to advance business development for members through advocacy, government relations, education and community development.
