Lalit Modi, credited with making Indian cricket a billion dollar industry by successfully launching the Indian Premier League, has slammed those who troll him over his friendship with Bollywood actress and former Miss Universe Sushmita Sen.
Lalit Modi also blasted those who called him a fugitive after he left the country following his suspension by the Indian Cricket Board for his dealings with IPL and then became entangled in several other disputes, most involving the law. on Foreign Exchange Management (FEMA).

Soon the rumor mills were going into overdrive with Lalit Modi for dating the Bollywood actress.
On Sunday, he posted a long message on Instagram telling those who targeted him to leave him alone.
“Why is the media so obsessed with stalking me apparently 4 wrongly. Can someone explain — I only made 2 pics on insta- & Tag is correct. Guess we live always in the Middle Ages that 2 people can’t be friends & then if the chemistry is right and the timing is right magic can happen I guess because they are not in charge in our country every Journo does its best to be #arnabgoswami – BIGGEST CLOWN,” Lalit Modi wrote on Instagram.

Lalit Modi also asked the media not to call him a ‘fugitive’ as he had never been convicted in court, and also urged his fans to show him some respect as he was the spirit behind the successful launch of the Indian Premier League (IPL).

Lalit Modi added that when he became a member of the BCCI bureau, he had only Rs 40 crore in his coffers which swelled to Rs 47,680 crore when he was banned in 2013.
